Flywheel Service Subprocessors

To support delivery of our Services, Flywheel may engage and use data processors with access to certain Customer Data (each, a “Subprocessor“). This page provides important information about the identity, location and role of each Subprocessor.

Third Parties

Flywheel uses third party Subprocessors for user authentication, cloud hosting infrastructure, customer support, and user notices. Prior to engaging any third party Subprocessor, Flywheel performs due diligence to evaluate their privacy, security and confidentiality practices, and executes any agreements implementing its applicable obligations, such as a Business Associate Addendum, or GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses.

Infrastructure Subprocessors

Flywheel may use the following Subprocessors to host Customer Data or provide other service capabilities for the delivery of its Services.

CILogon * Service Provider proxy service that enables services such as Flywheel to support user authentication from any of the thousands of institutions which have opted into the REFEDS Research & Scholarship identity attribute sharing program, and a member authentication federation, such as eduGAIN or InCommon. * Only integrated for clients requiring REFEDS authentication support.
** Only applicable for customers not providing their own hosting infrastructure for Flywheel services.

 

Service Support Subprocessors

Flywheel may use the following Subprocessors to perform other service support functions. The Customer Data being processed is limited to only the personal data attributes of Flywheel users necessary for each support function, such as name and email address.
