Aaron Mintz is the Medical Director at Flywheel and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine where he is a practicing radiologist in the abdominal imaging section. Formerly the Clinical Lead for Imaging Informatics at Washington University, Aaron has broad experience in imaging informatics ranging from working on large-scale clinical IT projects to developing AI models for research and clinical use in radiology. Aaron is passionate about building technology that will have a positive impact on patients’ lives, and is excited to leverage his expertise in clinical and healthcare operations to develop data science solutions that will support both the scientists at the “bench” and the clinicians at the bedside.

Aaron holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University and received his MD from Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. He completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship training in Body MRI at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University. When not reading CTs or powering innovation in healthcare and research, Aaron can be found spending time with his wife and two young boys, running or cycling, or watching either the Stanford Cardinal or Saint Louis Cardinals.
